    Mental health myths are everywhere, often making it harder for people to seek help. These are some of the common ones;

    Myth 1: Mental illness is a sign of weakness.
    Truth: Mental illness can happen to anyone, just like a physical illness. It’s not about strength; it’s about biology, life circumstances, and resilience.

    Myth 2: Therapy is only for rich people.
    Truth: While therapy costs can be a barrier, many affordable or free mental health services are available in both Europe and Africa. Communities, NGOs, and online platforms are stepping in to bridge the gap.

    Myth 3: Talking about mental health is unnecessary.
    Truth: Conversations about mental health reduce stigma and help people feel less alone. Speaking up can be life-changing—not just for you but for others around you.

    Myth 4: Only “crazy” people need help.
    Truth: Words like “crazy” are harmful. Everyone can benefit from mental health support, whether for daily stress or deeper struggles.

    Challenging these myths starts with us. Share these truths with friends and family. Together, we can create a more understanding world.
